About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Texas. I have a MSSW, Master ofScience in Social Work, Degree, Bachelor’s of Social work and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas at Austin. I have extensive experience with children and adolescents. My experience and training also includes working with couples, families, individuals, adults, children, and adolescents on a wide variety of interpersonal and mental heath problems. In my practice, I help people address issues such as trauma, PTSD, depression, sexual and physical abuse, addictions, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, marriage conflicts, anxiety, anger management, self injurious behaviors, parent child conflict, relational conflicts with blended families, as well as many other issues that serve as stressors in daily life experiences. My work settings have included residential treatment center for adolescents, intensive outpatient drug/substance abuse treatment with adolescents, and adult psychiatric hospital settings. As a therapist, I am able to diagnose and treat mental illness. While I do not provide medical treatment such as prescribing medication, I may coordinate treatment with your physician or psychiatrist. My therapeutic practice is based on and heavily influenced by a strengths based perspective and includes influences from the approaches of CBT, EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, as well as affect regulation frameworks.
